Making Better Choices
We strive to go beyond compliance, and to manage our environmental and social impact well. As a small business and a producer of clothing, the latter isn’t always easy. But we believe in making the best choices we can, working for good within our sphere of influence, and always striving for progress even if perfection is hard to achieve.

Our Materials
We use a range of fabrics, and aim to choose carefully sourced, high-quality material. We are always on the lookout for fabric innovations, and include the use of material that balances longevity with responsibility, such as:
- OEKO-TEX certified linen and cotton
- 100% cruelty-free vegan silk
alternatives that are OEKO-TEX certified and European Vegetarian Union-compliant - Fabrics made from sustainable
specialty fibres, such as cupro, bamboo and recycled polyester - Deadstock material from fabric
suppliers
Our Packaging
We aim to use eco-conscious packaging. For instance, mailing envelopes and cardboard boxes for online orders are either biodegradable or 100% recyclable. Garment care cards are printed on FSC-certified paper.
Responsible Production & Reducing Waste Generation
We are dedicated to responsible production.
Here are ways we put this into practice:

Controlling production volumes to reduce wastage
We supplement ready stock by producing on a pre-order or backorder basis wherever possible.
Using every last piece of fabric, as far as possible
Leftover fabric is repurposed to make limited-edition items or small accessories
Reducing waste, down to small details
We generally don’t include spare buttons or straps with every item, but keep a stock on hand for customers who need extras. Spares are included only where we are not able to maintain such a stock of extras.
No discarding of inventory
We do not discard excess inventory or clothing samples, but sell them at sample sales, or on a discounted or as-is basis. Flawed returned items are repaired and resold, or repurposed, as far as possible.
Supporting small family businesses and artisans
We prioritise quality over quantity, and support small businesses and artisans. A good proportion of our garments are made by small family-run tailoring businesses, as well as by home-based tailors. These micro-suppliers mostly employ women. We do our best to ensure we only use ethical, responsible suppliers with decent working conditions, and actively work to make a positive impact on supplier behaviour within our sphere of influence.
Inclusive Sizing

Sizes available from UK 4- UK 20
We strive for inclusive sizing, while staying mindful to prevent over-production and ensure responsible use of resources.

Uplifting Communities

We believe in actively contributing to the community, and to uplifting lives.
- The production of our garments directly supports small businesses, home-based artisans, and the employment of women
- We frequently collaborate with other artists, creatives and makers, including emerging talents
- We actively contribute to worthy causes both at home and abroad, with an emphasis on supporting women as well as at-risk individuals and families.
Our Team
We are proud to be a women-led business, and believe in doing business a little differently from some of the big boys.
We actively support women returning to the workforce, and are a family-friendly employer, open to flexible and part-time working arrangements. We are also committed to building a nurturing, inclusive environment where everyone is treated with fairness, respect, and dignity.
